1) A convex mirror, diverging mirror, or fish eye mirror is a curved mirror in which the reflective surface bulges toward the light source. Convex mirrors reflect light outwards, therefore they are not used to focus light. ... The image is smaller than the object, but gets larger as the object approaches the mirror.
2)A concave mirror is a mirror that is curved inward in the middle. It might help you to remember this if you think that when you look in a concave mirror, it looks like you are looking into a cave. The equation we use when dealing with concave mirrors is called the mirror equation

Differences between convex and concave mirror:
Convex mirror:
1. The reflecting surface is curved outward.
2. After reflection from the mirror the light rays diverge.
3. The image formed due to convex mirror is always virtual and diminished.
4. It is used as rear view mirror.
Concave mirror:
1. The reflecting surface curved inward.
2. After reflection from the mirror the light rays converge.
3. The image formed due to concave mirror is generally real and either diminished or magnified. But when an object placed between vertex and focus it is virtual.
4. It is used in car headlights.
