Old filament bulbs are needed to be filled with a inert gas.We commonly use argon for the bulbs but there are some disadvantages too for the argon usage:

1)It oxidizes the bulb filament.

2)Argon is harmful for the humans.

3)After the prolonged usage,the argon gas creates a fog inside the bulb.
