==> NH3  - Ammonia is basic in nature as it has a lone pair and also it can act as a reducing agent as nitrogen is the lowest oxidation state thus nitrogen can be oxidized thus reducing the other substance. Thus it acts as both a reducing agent as well as a base.

2. A metal which cannot be used for the preparation of hydrogen using dilute acids.

==>Metals which lie below hydrogen in the activity series i.e. Cu, Ag, Au cannot displace hydrogen from dilute acids, because they are less reactive than hydrogen. 8.
