Heya!!!!!

The chromosomes is a thread like structuee present in the nucleues of a cell...each chromosome is made up with protien...and DNA . It is a single piece of coiled DNA containing many genes, regulatory elements and other nucleotide sequences.

So the main function of chromosomes is during this cell division, DNA must remain intact and keep its even distributionthroughout the cells...

Hope it helps.
