Hello Dearest.......

The *IRIS* is the part of eye which is responsible for the color of our eyes.
Not only it gives color to our eyes but it's other important functions are ::

● It is a thin circular muscular structure .

●It controls the amount of light entering the eye and prevents it from damage .

● It increase or decrease the size of pupil according to amount of light .
Example: If you go in intense bright light , your pupil contracts and shrinks.

I hope my explanation helped you....

In humans and most mammals and birds, the iris (plural: irides or irises) is a thin, circular structure in the eye, responsible for controlling the diameter and size of thepupil and thus the amount of light reaching the retina. Eye color is defined by that of the iris.
