Law of constant proportion states that 'a chemical compound is always made up of the same elements combined together in the fixed proportion by mass'. Water is composed of hydrogen and oxygen combined together in the ratio 1:8 by weight

according to this law it states that in every chemical reaction the total mass of reactants is always equal to the total mass of products with respect of mass..

with this law another law had also been discovered that is "" law of comservation of mass "" which was given by Antoinee Lavoisier ..
