For each incident ray , a normal line at the point of incidence on a curved surface must be applied .
any incident ray traveling parallel to the principal axis on the way to the mirror will pass through the focal point upon reflection.

there are two laws of reflection
1. the angle of incidence equal to angle of reflection
2. the incident ray, the normal at the point of incidence and the reflect Ed ray all lie in the same plane
