The population growth rate in India is declining since 1981 because of the following reasons :-
1) Lack of proper medical facilities.
2) Lack of proper knowledge about disease.
3) Family planning measures were adopted, leading to decline in birth rate.
4) Promotion of family planning programme by the govt. also lead to decline of population.

the population growth rate in india started declining
gradually after 1981 due to
the following reasons.


● control over birth rate because of the creation of
awareness among people by the government polices.

●Rising rate of literacy among the people.

●National population policy was implemented by the government which laid emphasis on education of adolescents,
delayed marriage and child bearing.
