Drawbacks of Rutherford's Model of an Atom:

<> Any particle moving in circular orbit would undergo acceleration

<> During acceleration , the electrons would radiate energy.

<> As a result , the electrons would lose energy and would fall into the nucleus.

<> If this were so , the electrons would be highly unstable and thus matter would not exist

Bohr's model :

--> The electrons revolve in certain orbits known as Discrete orbits of electrons

--> While revolving in it , the electrons do not radiate energy

Drawbacks of Rutherford scattering experiment
==========================
★ An electrons when circulate in orbit , is accelerated and according to Maxwell's theory of electromagnetic wave , an accelerated electron radiates electromagnetic radiation.this results a continuous decreses in the energy of electron and the electrons approaches the nucleus and finally collapse with it .but in real ,this doesn't happen. hence ,it failed to explain the stability of atom

★ it fails to explain how the electorns are configured around the nucleus and the energy of electrons

★ it's also fails to explain the discontinuous nature of Hydrogen spectra .

Due to above Drawbacks Bohr's developed atomic theory .
according to him ,
# electrons must remove around the nucleus but they are balance by necessary centripital force .
e.g mv²/r = KZe²/r²

# he also gave bow the electrons configured around the nucleus .
e.g K, L, M .. configuration concept

# he gave calculation for finding energy of electron in a specific orbit .

# by using balmer concept shown how hydrogen give discontinuous spectra .

in this way Bohr's clear Rutherford scattering experiment's drawback .
