1) boiling- on boiling the water evaporates and the remaining is sugar.

2) magnet- magnet attracts iron filling and sand is seperated

Answer:

i)  Sugar and Water can be separated out from a mixture of sugar in water by the process of evaporation and condensation .

⋆ If we evaporise the water we will be left with sugar crystals while the water will escape out as water vapour , if we cool this water vapour by the process of condensation we will obtain the water.

ii) Iron Filing and Sand can be separated by the process known as magnetic separation.

✩Five Other  Separation Methods✩

1)Sedimentation

Sedimentation is the process of separation a heavy insoluble impurity from a liquid(solvent) by making it settle down at the bottom of the liquid.

2)Separating Funnel

Separating funnel is the method of separating two im-miscible liquids by taking advantage of their difference in density.

3)Handpicking

Handpicking the the type of separation in which the impurities are separated out simply by the hand.

4)Distillation

Distillation is the process of separating a mixture in liquid form by  converting  of a liquid into vapour and condensing it back to liquid form.

5)Centrifugation

Centrifugation is the process that is used to separate components of a mixture by spinning it at a high speed.
