Modern periodic law states that "Physical and chemical properties of element are periodic function of their atomic number."
The elements are arranged on the basis of their increasing atomic number..
The position of hydrogen is considered to as anomalous because Hydrogen has no similar properties according to the group it is placed like others are metals but hydrogen is non metal.
