State the phenomenon that occur in the formation of rainbow

Most propably after rain when the presence of water particles in the atmosphrere increases, the light coming from the sun dispers in seven visible colours. The water particles act as an spectrum. The visible colours are,at the top Red because it's wavelength is the highest. Then the wave length decreases , Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and violet.
