State the probable reason for the decline of the Harappan Civilisation

Archaeologists believe that Harappan civilisation declined due to several possibilities. One theory is that natural calamities like flood, earthquakes or fire destroyed the civilisation. Another is that changes in the course of the river Indus left the cities without a source of water nearby forcing them to move. The third reason cited is environmental change by deforestation. Another likely cause is that foreign invader came and destroyed the civilisation. By 1,500 BCE the Harappan civilisation regions were taken over by the Aryans and that was the beginning of a new period of history.
