state the reason difference between the duration of day and night at kanyakumari and Kashmir

As Kanyakumari is near to the equator and Kashmir is far away from the equator,the duration of day and night influences as we move from the equator to the poles . Therefore this difference is seen in winter or summer in Kashmir but not in Kanyakumari
