State the reason of difference of literacy rate between men and women.

our indian families usually adoted patriarchial policies that is to prefer only sons and not daughters due to the the old vulgar dowry system . there is a difference between literacy rate of men and women because usualy peoe felt that girls should be confined with their households purposes and confined in their kitchen and house only and men are meant for doing jobs outside . also they thought that the jobs arent to be done by indian women due to old vulgar beliefs of people

yes literacy rate is different in men and women because in Indian Society it is believed that men are the future for the country so they are educated more where as women are not educated as because people think that after what the women will do after getting edicated in other words we can also say that more finance is invested on men than women which directly or indirectly effect the literacy rate.
