One of the South Indian states, Karnataka is facing a water crisis for the fourth consecutive year as less than 20% water is left in the dams.

The situation is getting bad to worse in the state as we are heading towards the cropping season and the IT city of Bengaluru will face drinking water crisis before summer set in.

Last year, study report of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) predicted this situation in Bengaluru by the fearful statement.

It is reported that the IT city has already lost 79% of its surface water resources and they're going to increase of 92.5% in the future.

As per the report,  75% of city land paved while.

City lakes also been filled up for construction purpose...

This is due to the preparation of a huge number of residential and commercial complexes.

The Bangalore water dept. predicts that it will need 200 additional water tankers to meet the demand over the coming months and 100 new bore wells are set to be dug in this month alone.

However, one of the major reasons for the water crisis in Bengaluru is the toxic nature of local water bodies which are not drinkable.
