A natural resource is what people can use which comes from the naturalenvironment. Examples of natural resources are air, water, wood, oil, wind energy, natural gas, iron, and coal.

Natural resources are resources that exist without human actions. It includes all important attributes such as magnetic, gravitational, electrical and strength properties, etc.

On Earth it includes sunshine, air, water, land (including all minerals) and all the plants, crops and animal life that exist naturally on or within the characteristics and substances previously identified. A natural resource may exist as a separate entity such as fresh water, wind, and any living organism such as a fish, or it may exist in an alternative form which needs to be extracted in order to obtain the commodity such as metal ores, rare earth metals, coal, and most energy sources.
