HIV is causative agent of AIDS. these are retro viruses which attack the T helper cells on thymus which weakens immunity of the body leading to infections like tuberculosis etc.

it attacks the own body cells by changing the cells DNA to the viruses RNA by enzyme reverse transcriptase.leading to autoimmune disorder.
