High blood pressure, pupil dilation, high rate of GFR, pilo erection. these are the body changes occur when a person is scared. I think you get your own skills to protect yourself.

When the human body is facing a scary or a dangerous situation adrenaline hormone is secreted from the adernal glands and directly poured into the blood which then circulates the various parts of the body. When adrenaline is poured our heart starts beating faster because it is one of the main target organ and due to this more oxygen is supplied to the muscles. The breathing rate also increases because of the contraction of the diaphragm and rib muscles.
