hello!

The solutions which have exactly the same concentration as the cell are known as isotonic solutions. [ here the word "iso" means equal.]

when a cell is placed in such a solution the size of the cell remains the same because the solvent molecules on either side of the membrane is almost the same and so they do not move from higher concentration to lower concentration.
