Explanation:

Effects of Earth's revolution include the seasons and variation in the length of days and nights. In addition to revolution, the tilt of Earth's axis relative to its plane of orbit has a profound effect on Earth. At almost any given time, one hemisphere is tilted toward the sun, as the other is tilted away.

Answer:

Earth's revolution around the sun has also had an effect on science. Earth's orbit has a diameter of around 186 million miles, providing a large baseline for measuring the parallax of nearby stars and helping to calibrate their distances.

Explanation:

The effects right now are that the Earth is absorbing heat constantly from the sun just like a rotisserie chicken on a spit that is getting cooked. This is currently being tampered with as humans increase the density of heat insulating components in the atmosphere that will eventually cook this planet just like a rotisserie chicken is eventually cooked.

Another effect is that we get constant sunlight for photo synthesis that let’s plants create protein at a rate that feeds animals like humans that critical biological component. Nothing else on Earth, creates proteins but plants.

Another effect is that we get wind and waves which are not uniform as the sun heats different areas of the planet more than other parts. This gives us erosion and hurricanes and we can fly kites.

We also get different seasons, but that is less about revolving around the sun and more about the Earth is “tilted” relative to the orbital plane we have around the sun.

Another effect is we create Vitamin D as we see the Sun that gives us needed health benefits.

Another effect is animals have a regular sleep cycle called the circadian rhythm

It is also melting the polar ice caps as we revolve around the sun. If the Arctic ice gets completely melted this year or next, then expect the extinction of most plants and animals on Earth within less than 10 years. Bold statement, but because I know science that includes not only physics and chemistry, I also know biology, environment and agriculture.

The same science that explains what creates wind, seasons, hurricanes, draughts, rain storms that flood, vitamin D, seasons, orbital planes, erosion, protein and the internet we are on now, says we have about 10 years or less before most plants and animals are dead and extinct, never to be seen on this planet again, just like most species that have ever existed in the 4.5 billion years Earth has existed. Basically, revolving around the sun is going to kill almost everything on this planet as a result of that revolution now. However, it is not the cause of the extinction, it is simply a contributing component of the process that is under way, just like the heat that cooks the chicken is not the cause of the cooked chicken. A lot of other things had to happen before that chicken got cooked.

There is some chance that a lot (not most) humans can survive what is coming in less than 10 years, but there is no chance most of the plants and animals will make it.

I know this is more than you had expected, but I try to be thorough in my answers to people seeking information.
