epithelial tissue is a tissue which grows on another tissue.

epithelial tissues are of 2 types:

simple epithelial and compound epithelial.

simple epithelial is single layered.

it is of 5 type:

1. squamous(blood vessel, bowman

capsule)

2.cuboidal(dct,wall of ovaries and

tubules of testes)

3.columnar(intestine,stomach)

4. ciliated(small intestine)

5.pseudostratified(wall of tachea,

large bronchii)

whereas compound epithelial is multilayered and ia of two types:

1.transitional(mostly all parts frim

where urine flows)

2.stratified(oesophagus, pharynx, wall

of buccal cavity)

all of these tissues r present in human body.
