There are different types of intermolecular forces in the given compounds:-

  • Helium (He) and Neon (Ne) are non-polar monoatomic molecules. They have dispersion forces acting between the molecules. It is also termed as London force.
  • HCl and HBr are polar molecules. They have a partially positive (H⁺) and a partially negative side (Cl⁻ or Br⁻) and are thus termed as dipoles. They have dipole-dipole interactions between the molecules.
