1 \: kilowatt \:  - hr = 3.6 \times  {10}^{6} joules

If 1 joule of the energy is used per second, we say that energy as 1watt.
According to your question, it's (1000watt) ×(3600seconds) =3600000J that is also known as 1kWh.
