a)There should be sufficient time gap between Orginal sound & reflected sounds. So, to hear distinct echo the reflected sound should reach the ear after 0.1s after the original sound.

b)The distance between the source of the sound & the obstacle should be sufficient.An echo will heard distinctly if the minimum distance between the source of sound & obstacle is 34.4/2=17.2 m

c)The reflecting surface must be rigid such as building,hill or a cliff

d)Size of the obstacle should be quite large for the echoes to be heard.
