There are three laws of reflection of light rays (electromagnetic radiation). A light lay travels (rectilinear motion) in a medium 1 and falls on the interface plane between medium 1 and medium 2.  Then reflection of the light ray takes place back into the medium 1.

1. Angle of reflection = Angle of incidence i.
The angle is measured between the incident/reflected ray and the normal at the point of incidence on the interface boundary.

2. The incident ray, reflected ray and the normal all lie in a plane.

3. The incident ray and the reflected rays are always on the opposite sides of normal.

the law of reflection is :-

the angle of I equal to angle of r

the incidence ray ,the reflected ray and the normal all lie on same point.
