Answer:-

1. Sulphur is a non-metal

  • Poor conductor of heat and electricity
  • Neither malleable nor ductile
  • Sulphur dioxide is acidic oxide.

Equation:-

S + O2 →SO2 SO2 + H2O → H2SO3 (Sulphurous acid)

2. Magnesium is a metal

  • Good conductor of heat and electricity
  • Malleable nor ductile
  • Magnesium oxide is basic in nature.

Equation:-

2Mg + O2 →2MgO2 MgO + H2O → Mg(OH)2 (Magnesium hydroxide).

hope this will help you.
