all the political parties in our country have agreed to the model code of conduct for election campaigns according to this no Party or candidate can:-


Use any place of worship for election propaganda


Used government vehicles, aircraft and officials for elections


once elections are announced, ministers shall not lay Foundation stones of any projects,take any big decisions or make any Promises of providing public facilities.

The Model Code of Conduct is a set of norms or guidelines that have to be followed by Political parties and candidates while the contest elections.

According to the Model Code of Conuct, No political party or candidate can

  • Use any place of worship for election propaganda
  • Use government vehicles, aircrafts, and officials for elections.
  • Lay foundation stones for any project, after the date of elections are announced.            

If any Political party, or Candidate are found to be violating these norms of the Model Code of Conduct, they will be punished by the Election Commision.
