Area =20×15=300m
Dimension of tile is 20×10=200=2m
Therefore number of tiles required is 300÷2=150
So 15000 tiles is required

kashviachakrawal: I tried this and got the same answer but my textbook says the answer is 15000
DDeepakPrasanna: they have converted 150m is converted into 150×100 ,so its 15000
kashviachakrawal: yeah true
kashviachakrawal: thanks
DDeepakPrasanna: welcome

Hey
______

Area of floor
=( 20×100)×(15×100)=3000000cm^2

Area of tile = 20×10 cm ^2

Req no of tiles = area of floor/area of 1 tile
3000000/200=15000

Hence, ans is 15000

Hope helped
