Division pteridophyta:
- They are mainly found in shady and damp places.
- The body is differentiated into root, stem and leaves.
- They have well developed vascular system(xylem and phloem)for the conduction of water and minerals from the root to the other part of the plant and the conduction of food from the leaves to different parts of the plant.
- They have no flowers and do not produce seeds,eg.Marsilea,fern.
- They have hidden sex organs and hence are called cryptogams.
