  • nerve cell is also called as neuron
  • it is cylindrical and circular in shape
  • there is a nucleus present in the middle of the circular part
  • the thread like structure from the cell arise they are called dendrites
  • and a large dendron arise from it which is called axon which helps in the transfer of the signals to the cell
  • the axon is covered by the mylinated sheaths , where the signals can't be get out of the cell
  • neuron helps in the transfer of signals to the brain and from the brain to organs
