The Disciplinary functions of the speaker are :

I)The speaker preserves order in the house .He/she may name a member for suspension ,if he disregards of the authority of the chair.

ii) If a word or words used in the debate are indescent or unparliamentary,the speaker may expunge such words from the proceedings of the house .

III)The speaker decides whether there is a prima facie case regarding breach of privilege or contempt of the house.
