Compressed natural gas [CNG] is a natural gas which is non-toxic in nature composed of mainly Methane and some amount of nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide and other sulfur compounds. It has a narrow range of flammability. CNG is lighter than air. It is much safer than gasoline. Although CNG has a range of benefits nowadays. the two main important uses of CNG used these days are :

1. CNG is used as a substitute for gasoline in automobiles.

2. It is used as a fuel for power plants.
