Jahangir was a person of great affability, people collected around him and this may be one of the reasons his rule survived over two decades. He was a man of detail who recorded everything and had a huge interest in art .

Jahangir rule was largely peaceful, he was the patron of the Arts. And an affable emperor.

In Jahangir's time people had the freedom not just to profess any faith , but to even rail against another's without undue trepidation.
