• Magnetic field produced by a solenoid similar to bar magnet.
• Strength of magnetic field is proportional to number of turns and magnitude of current.
A solenoid and the strong field inside is used to magnetize materials which have magnetic caliber like soft iron..the magnet hence formed is called an electromagnet
