Question :
If Iron Sulphate and Zinc are mixed, then displacement reaction will take place?
Will Zinc be able to displace iron from its salt solution?
To answer these two Questions, Let us move to basics.....
A more reactive metal can displace a less reactive metal from its salt solution, but a less reactive metal can't displace a more reactive metal from its salt solution.
So, Let us move to reactivity series.....
More Reactive To Less Reactive ....
Potassium -> Sodium -> Calcium -> Zinc -> Iron -> Copper.
As we see that Zinc is more reactive than iron. So, Zinc can displace iron from its salt solution. (As we have discussed above).
Equation :
Iron Sulphate + Zinc --> Zinc Sulphate + Iron.
Hence, a displacement reaction will take place here.
Hope You Got It

■ ques. = state whether a displacement reaction will occur if iron sulphate and zinc are mixed ?
yes , displacement reaction will occur iron sulphate and zinc are mixed.
■ What is displacement reaction ?
==> Displacement reaction is a chemical reaction in which a more reactive element displace a less reactive element from its compound.
■ Reason ?
==> As u can see in the pic , a list of most reactive metals to less reactive metal.
==》Since , some metals ( alkali metals ) are highly reactive because they readily loss electron from their outer most shell.
==》 The elements become more reactive in any column , if u go down in the columns of periodic table.
==》The reactivity series of elements from most reactivity metals to less reactive metals =》
Potassium =》sodium =》calcium =》magnesium=》aluminum =》 =》 =》tin =》lead and so on.
Hence , zinc ( Zn ) is more reactive than iron ( Fe ).
■ Reaction =》
==> Iron sulphate mixed with zinc to form zinc sulphate and iron.
Zinc + iron sulphate =》zinc sulphate + iron.
Zn + FeSo4 =》ZnSo4 + Fe
Hence , this reaction is an example of
