State whether speed is scaller or vector quantity , Give reason for your choice?

Speed is a scallar quantity because it has only magnitude but no direction but velocity is a vector quantity. An example of speed is say '30km/h' where direction is not mentioned. But in velocity it is '30km/h N' or '30 km/h E' .
