State whether the following expression is a polynomial in one variable or not. Give reasons for your answer.

 x^3 + y^3 + z^6

generally it is not a polynomial in one variable because x,y,z are considered to be variables, but it may well be a polynomial in one variable if any 2 of x,y,z are treated as constants.
