Answer : FALSE

We can never change the formula of any reactant or product :( as then the reaction will only change .

A chemical reaction has reactants - the chemical substances that react together and the products are the new chemical substance .

We have to balance the equation obeying with the Law of Conservation of mass and energy .

We multiply the number of each reactant or product so that the equation is balanced .

Example coming your way :

H_2+Cl_2\rightarrow HCl

The reaction is balanced by multiplying HCl with 2 .

H_2+Cl_2\rightarrow 2HCl

Another example :

Mg_2+O_2\rightarrow MgO

The reaction is balanced by multiplying MgO with 2 .

Mg_2+O_2\rightarrow 2 MgO
