THIS IS BECAUSE
(1) Jowar is grown in Maharashtra because of the Black Regur Soil wich is rich in lime, potash-magnesium, carbonates, allumina and calcium.
(2) Bajra is grown in Rajasthan because of the sandy soil found in this region. It is rich in soluble salts.
(3) Sugarcane is grown in U.P.
