statement 1 is false but statement 2 is true.

statement -1 : it is wrong statement. because CCl₄ is used liquid in fire extinguisher to control fire. it is not flammable at lower temperature, that's reason it is used as fire extinguisher.

statement - 2 : it is correct statement, CCl₄ is insoluble in water because it is pure covalent compound (non polar ) and water is ionic compound (polar compound) . it doesn't dissociate into its element when we pour it in water.
