Statement - 1: No work is done in taking a small positive charge from one point to other inside a positively charged metallic sphere while outside the sphere work is done in taking the charge towards the sphere. Neglect induction due to small charge.
Statement - 2: Inside the sphere electric potential is same at each point, but outside it is different for different points.
a) Stmt 1 and 2 are true, stmt 2 is the correct explanation
b) Stmt 1 and 2 are true, stmt 2 isn't the correct explanation
c) Stmt 1 is fals, stmt 2 is true
d) Stmt 1 is true, stmt 2 is false
URGENT PLEASE!!!

Hello friend :-)
According to your question
Statement 1 says => No work is done
in taking a small positive charge from
one point to other inside a positively
charged metallic sphere while
outside the sphere work is done in
taking the charge towards the
sphere. Neglect induction due to
small charge.
So I think Since no net charge is
enclosed in the sphere therefore the
electric field inside the sphere would
be zero.
Now come to second statement =>
Inside the sphere electric potential is
same at each point, but outside it is
different for different points. I think
The potential of any point of the
sphere is zero. For this to occur a
charge must induce on the surface of
sphere but it's not equal to −Q.
Rather it's −RQ/d −RQ/d , where R is
radius of sphere and dd is distance
between center of sphere and
charge Q
By the above reasons I think
statement Statemen 1 and 2 are true,
statement 2 isn't the correct
explanation
Hope this helps you
