Matter exists in many states. Most commonly, it is solid, liquid and gaseous states. Mankind has learnt to make use of matter in its different states, to his advantage.

If we take water as an example, in its liquid state it is used for drinking, washing etc. In its frozen state, which is ice, it is used as a cooling agent for various purposes. The gaseous state of water is steam, which is used to drive machinery, in cooking etc.

Matter can be found in every place and every conditions, how extreme the condition is is doesn’t matters.
