Statistical methods are beneficial only if they studied or surveys conducted by experts or those who have knowledge about that method. It is dangerous because surveys are conducted for certain purposes on whose bases policies are implemented. If they are wrong than there is no benefits or sometimes led to serious problems
For example if survey is conducted in anganwadis with the purpose of checking implementation of mid-day meal. Then uneducated people may be don't know the objective of that and led to various wrong judgments or they can be easily influenced by people and conduct wrong survey purposefully.
So it is helpful if survey conducted by just, fair methods and by experts with various modern techniques
