1)
Cloudbursts happen when saturated clouds are unable to produce rain because of the upward movement of very warm current of air. ... Hilly terrains aid in heated air currents rising vertically upwards, thereby, increasing the probability of a cloudburst situation.
2)There are more than 3,000 species of snakes on the planet and they're found everywhere except in Antarctica, Iceland, Ireland, Greenland, and New Zealand. About 600 species are venomous, and only about 200—seven percent—are able to kill or significantly wound a human.

Over the past few weeks England and Wales have endured the most widespread flooding for more than 50 years. By the end of the first week of November more than 3000 homes had been flooded and transport had been disrupted; in some areas water supplies have been contaminated, and a hospital has been evacuated.1
Flooding accounts for 40% of all natural disasters worldwide and causes about half of all deaths from natural disasters.2 Most floods occur in developing regions and tropical regions where the impact on public health is substantial, the number of people displaced is often large, and the number of deaths is high. In the aftermath of a flood deaths and injuries not only result from the physical characteristics of the event but are also determined by the prevailing socioeconomic and health conditions of the community and any endemic infectious diseases. Increased rates of diarrhoea (including cholera and dysentery), respiratory infections, hepatitis A and E, typhoid fever, leptospirosis, and diseases borne by insects have been described as occurring after floods in developing areas.3,4 Malnutrition caused by inadequate supplies of food and problems with distribution compounds the effects of disease.

In May 2008, a massive earthquake shook the province of Sichuan, China, to its very core.
Some four-fifths of the area’s structures were flattened. Whole villages and mountain towns were destroyed, schools collapsed. Almost 90,000 people were killed or presumed dead, including more than 5,300 children. Millions of people were left homeless by the 7.9-magnitude quake. Damages were estimated at $86 billion.
Later, the world was shocked to learn that the quake was probably caused by the construction of the Zipingpu Dam.
