Step-by-step explanation:

A. 3cm, 4cm, 5cm

As we know, the sum of any two sides of triangle is greater than the third side.

  • 3cm+4cm= 7cm> 5cm
  • 4cm+5cm=9cm>3cm
  • 3cm+5cm=8cm>4cm

Hence, we cam draw triangle with these sides.

B. 6.5cm,4.2cm,15cm

As we know, the sum of any two given sides is greater than the third sides.

  • 6.5cm+4.2cm=10.7cm<15 cm
  • 15cm+4.2cm=19.2cm>6.5cm
  • 15cm+6.5cm=21.5cm

Therefore, in one case we are not able to match the criteria.

Hence,we cannot draw triangle with these sides.

Answer:

(a) 4cm, 3cm and 5cm

As we know that sum of any two sides of a triangle is always greater than the other side orr the third side.

  • (3+4)cm=7cm i.e. >5cm
  • (4+5)cm=9cm i.e.> 3cm
  • (3+5)cm=8cm i.e > 4cm

Hence from the above we can obtain that we can draw a traingle from these given sides.

(b) 6.5cm, 4.2cm and 15cm

so here we will do the same process as above . then,

  • (6.5+4.2)cm=10.7cm i.e. <15cm
  • (15+4.2)cm=19.2cm i.e. >6.5cm
  • (15+6.5)cm=21.5cm

Hence from the above we can see that no thus traingle can be formed from the given sides.
