Given :

  • Total questions = 15
  • Marks given for every correct answer = 4 marks.
  • Marks given for every incorrect answer = (-2) marks.

To Find :

  • Total score of Gurpreet
  • Total score of Grupreet 's friend

Solution :

In Case of Gurpreet :

\qquad ★ Total questions attempted by Gurpreet is 15 questions and total correct answers are 9 answers.

Marks of her 9 correct answers :-

\qquad = 9 × 4

\qquad =36 Marks

It's given, total incorrect answers are 6

Marks of her 6 incorrect answers :-

\qquad = 6 × (-2)

\qquad = -12 Marks

\qquad ★ Total marks = Marks of her 9 correct answers + Marks of her 6 incorrect answers

\qquad ❏Total marks of Gurpreet

\qquad = 36 + (-12)

\qquad = 36 - 12

\qquad = 24 marks

  • Hence, total score of Gurpreet is 24 marks.

In Case of Gurpreet's friend :-

\qquad ★ Total question attempted bynGurpreet's friend is 5 questions.Since all the questions attempted by Gurpreet's friend are correct, so she would not get marks for incorrect answers.

\qquad ❏ Total marks of Gurpreet's friend :-

\qquad = 5 × 4

\qquad = 20 marks

  • Hence, total score of Gurpreet's friend :- is 20 marks.
