current in each resistor

I = V/R
then I' =6/30= 1/5 A
I'' =6/10= 3/5 A
I''' =6/5= 6/5 A
since resistors in parallel connection, voltage V is constant

Total current

I = I'+I''+I''' =1/5+ 3/5+6/5= 10/5 =2 A

Equivalent Resistance

1/R= 1/R'+1/R''+1/R''' = 1/30+1/10+1/5
=1/30+3/30+6/30
=10/30
=1/3 = 1/R
R=3 ohms

Hari1961: sorry i did a mistake in equivalent resistance i.e 1/R=1/3 then R=3 ohms

Heya !! ☺

The resistances are connected in parallel to obtain maximum current
R1 = 30 ohm
R2 = 10 ohm
R3 = 5 ohm
V = 6 Volts

1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3
=> 1/R = 1/30 + 1/10 + 1/5
=> 1/R = (1+3+6)/30
=> 1/R = 10/30
=> 1/R = 1/3
=> R = 3 ohm __(c) answer

According to Ohm's Law,
V = IR
=> 6 = I×3
=> I = 6/3
=> I = 2A __(b) answer

(a) answer :-

Current in R1 :-
I = V/R1
=> I = 6/30
=> I = 0.2A

Current in R2 :-
I = V/R2
=> I = 6/10
=> I = 0.6A

Current in R3 :-
I = V/R3
=> I = 6/5
=> I = 1.2A

Hope my ans. is satisfactory.
