stomata remain closed during day in desert plant to avoid over loss of water. How do the get carbon dioxide for photosynthesis?

I am not very sure you'll get this answer or but I would try my level best to explain but even then ur doubt persists do reply...I will try to make it even easier..
Certain plants like pineapple and opuntia fix co2 during night and form sugars during day...that means it's opposite to the plants in normal conditions.And they follow CAM pathway ie crassulacean acid metabolis.If u want to detailed info do post comment.
