The gang had not anticipated a software upgrade to the bank systems. They had suddenly been locked in as they tried to escape. The Intrusion detection system was running custom Artificial Intelligence software that would routinely upgrade.
The gang had the help of a skilled hacker in their ranks though. Kevin was one of the best hackers in the world. He quickly wrote a code exploit that introduced a buffer overflow in the whole system. The exploit gave the team a narrow window of ten minutes after a system reboot.
The system rebooted just as sirens started blaring. The gang quickly got out but in their haste they left some crucial evidence.
